Revisiting Boracay

Image
It was summer of 2004 when I last went to Boracay Island, Aklan so it is such a delight to see that the port conditions (albeit not perfect) have improved.  Well, improved is an understatement really because if you didn't get to experience being delivered by your boat ride straight to the shore where your booked/checked in hotel is at, then you don't know what I'm talking about. 8 years ago, the boat ride (which was 15pesos a ride) from Caticlan to Boracay Island was surprisingly primitive.  If you've worn a rubber shoes and or heels (I know, the latter's highly unlikely but I've seen many surprised tourist before), expect to get those wet as you have to step on the beach water.  But not anymore! Boracay Island now boasts of a decent port.  I have to admit though that I kinda miss the old way.  Why?  You can save a lot of time and money when you're delivered door to door! :)  Anyway, I will post more photos soon.  The photos below are from my Tita's

Halloween Fun Run

Image
Last year's Halloween was spent with friends and family on a fun run for a cause. This year, we will have to spend halloween season separately (nautical miles away).   But I will upload photos of how I'd spend mine.  You'll soon figure out where I'm headed. Meanwhile, enjoy these photos! With the infamous Illac Diaz, the genius behind the Solar Bottle Bulb project. the runners! hehehehe...runners for fun and cause! ;) with my wifey <3, Maipot =) Wakwak hugs Red Riding Hood =/

Cebu City (Sugbu, Sinulog 2012)

Image
I didn't go to Cebu for Sinulog but when I went there, it was Sinulog 'season' (2012).  An added attraction it may be but there were just lots of people from all over the world who came to celebrate it and so the traffic was crazy!  Tita Lotis tagged me along on this ride.  I thought of sharing these photos to you as you're not all my friends at facebook. =) Since we really had limited day offs, we couldn't go at the outskirts of the city as travel time time will just consume our happy hours versus sight-seeing and photo ops. If it is your first time to step into Cebu and especially you're in a group, better to hire professional touring vans as they could suggest where to go.  Less hassle for you too!  Here's where we went on Day 1..If you look close
