A Little More of Those Boracay Snaps

I didn't really get to roam around much as we only stayed at Boracay for a night and we were dismayed over the fact that the Cebu-Caticlan flight got delayed for nearly 2 hours.  I originally planned on revisiting Willy's Rock at Station 1 but decided against it.  The long walk I had to take just to get there wasn't worth it for such a short amount of time.  Funny how it never felt that far for me many years back (bahahaha! me being fat plus painful knee arthritis was just a lame excuse for being super lazy).  So anyway, here are some of the photos (first 17 photos :: photo credit, watermarked), courtesy of my Tita (Aunt) Lotis and some more of my photos. :) fat! hehehe my cousin Loreyn is trying to convince me take a dip with her :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boracay Sunset Boracay Life comes in full swing at night. ...

Revisiting Boracay

It was summer of 2004 when I last went to Boracay Island, Aklan so it is such a delight to see that the port conditions (albeit not perfect) have improved.  Well, improved is an understatement really because if you didn't get to experience being delivered by your boat ride straight to the shore where your booked/checked in hotel is at, then you don't know what I'm talking about. 8 years ago, the boat ride (which was 15pesos a ride) from Caticlan to Boracay Island was surprisingly primitive.  If you've worn a rubber shoes and or heels (I know, the latter's highly unlikely but I've seen many surprised tourist before), expect to get those wet as you have to step on the beach water.  But not anymore! Boracay Island now boasts of a decent port.  I have to admit though that I kinda miss the old way.  Why?  You can save a lot of time and money when you're delivered door to door! :)  Anyway, I will post more photos soon.  The photos below are from my ...

From Dunkin' Days to Daddy Gabby: A Marketer's Journey and Gratitude

  With Daddy Gabby during the last celebrated anniversary he hosted for me with CDOTC. I passed by a Dunkin Donuts' outlet today and while I was getting my orders taken at the counter, I felt a little pinch in my heart as I remembered my precious time with my marketing mentor, the late Gabby Bacarro (who was NorthMin's Marketing Manager of Golden Era Food Chain Inc.'s Dunkin Donuts at that time) which later was fondly called by everyone as, "Daddy Gabby". It was 2003, I was a freshman at Cagayan de Oro College, when I met him and he looked at me dead in the eye and told me that he wanted me to join Sentrong COCean Theatre and Performing Arts (which would later become Cagayan de Oro Talent Center) and train under him for the guild's branding & communications.
