A Day at Manila Ocean Park

Manila Bay...Sunset

Using flash in your camera is strictly prohibited in some areas of Manila Ocean Park, including Jellies.

This is how it pretty much looks like when you're there.
You'd hear a very soothing classical music on the background too.

This is what it really looks like with lights on.  Sorry Manila Ocean Park, I used a flash on here

I couldn't ask anyone to take me a decent photo with my old gun.
So glad to have found a mirror =)

You don't need to worry about food since Manila Ocean Park offers lots of dining experience.
From common fastfood to very classy restaurants.

Would you believe I had to have 15 tries before I got this blurry shot?  I had to scramble with screaming kids and folks!!!
Thanks to the movie, Nemo..this fish is one, if not the most photographed fish out there on the Oceanarium.

That stinking Stingray was very hard to capture.  It kept moving a lot!

I so loved the sharks!  Too bad I didn't get to have a chance to be with them thru Shark Encounter -the ticket bares a hefty price tag equivalent to 7 exhibits/shows!
There are a lot of featured species in the Oceanarium but my battery was running low =(
I had to save it for other opps within the day.

The following 7 photos are captured by Manila Ocean Park for the Penguin Exhibit.  You can have a group photo package for 750pesos.

The infamous Manila Bay

Snow Village.  I hate getting cold but since we paid for it and I was uber curious ...I was almost dead frozen and was worried sick about my camera getting due to the -15°C temperature.  Be wary about your gadgets since not all cameras can withstand extreme temperatures.  Turned out to be a fun and funny experience!  Nobody inside it never complained. Nyahahaha!  Oh!  I had to constantly tuck my camera inside the coat so I could prevent it from fogging.  If you have your camera bag, with you, it would be best to put your cam inside it after using.

Oh yes, be sure to wear rubber shoes and you have to have enough covering if you're not used to getting yourself frozen :)  Jeans and or thick tights would be ideal. I so wore shorts! Coats will be lent to you but even with that, when you're wearing shorts like I did, I was freezing!

Overall, the experience was uber fun! You can check Manila Ocean Park's rates here.  We went for the Ultimate experience which at that time was offered 900/pax.  For me, it would be best if you go there after lunch and the most would be 2pm if you are after the Musical Fountain Show which starts early 7pm.  I tell you, the Musical Fountain show is AMAZING.  Forgive my shots, my ever reliable lens albeit very limited just can't capture all the lovely things I saw.  I have told you earlier too that my battery ran low.  I hope you won't experience the same, else, you'll miss a lot of photo opportunities!!!

You have to see and experience for yourself what Manila Ocean Park has for you.  If budget ever permitted, I could have really tried that shark encounter =( So if you are up for it, I'd suggest you bring with you a nice camera (an extra charged battery and memory/storage cards too), bathing suit and some extra clothes!

You need not worry about being late to watch a show so long as you pay close attention to the voice announcements.   Their friendly staff will recommend which tour you go first too.  The sights you see in Manila Ocean Park are for all ages.  So rest assured, everyone will bring home a smile and a delightful experience to last a lifetime! =)

It just might be too hot and or it may just rain so I'd highly recommend for you to bring or wear sunblock, good eye-wear/shades, umbrella, towels/tissues (to wipe the chairs on the observation area).

*I am not a professional photographer =)  I just try my best with what I can gather to capture enough for you to hopefully enjoy it as well. After all, my goal here is for you to be inspired to travel Philippines through my photos and lil stories - not that I am a wide traveler but that is exactly my point.  I don't get much chance to travel so when I get it, I make sure that I'd bring you along in my lil adventures =)
