A day at the Hot and Boiling Lake Agco

***
About 100 meters from Lake Agco Mahomanoy Spring Resort
is Lake Agco (inside the premise of
the Sacred Tribal and Ancestral Grounds of the Manobos).
A hot and boiling sulfuric lake at the foot of  the infamous volcano Mount Apo.
The locals said that the heat in Lake Agco is said to be from the volcano's vent.

Entrance fee is Php 10.00 as the sign says :)

Blue!  Yes., the puppy's name is Blue :)

I don't have any idea why it is fenced and marked"holy".
I wish the place had trivia of sorts so tourists would know.

Tree ferns abound the area.
The base of the tree fern's trunk are used for planting orchids back in the days.
Today, it has been banned to cut tree ferns as they take many years to grow.

The lake does boil. In one part of the lake, it boils every after 5-10 minutes.

Souvenir items sold just before the entrance of Lake Agco.

**Expect that the trek is slippery, a bit muddy and wet so wear appropriate footwear.
